MORAL POWER, by Dr. Steven Nur Ahmed

How can our earth have such plenitude of life, clean water, and dense forests just 12,000 years ago, but now have become reduced to increasing scarcity of life, unclean water, and diminishing forests along with rising human misery after only a few hundred years? What is the cause or what is to blame? I think that history reveals a clear relation between the choices we make and planetary enhancement or degradation.

We cannot blame technology in and of itself because technologies of whatever kind are merely instruments of human creation and use. Technologies do not have a practical purpose independent of the design given to them by human beings. Technologies are only purposeful when guided by the hand of a human being.

The technologies which are designed, mass produced, and marketed by corporate power elites filter down to billions of people in global markets and into homes worldwide. Then, when used on a mass scale by people who do not understand the harm such technologies do, the harm done to earth grows to immeasurable depths.[1]

The mass use of a single technology like a cellular phone or automobile by billions of human beings on any given day is causing mass irreparable damage to the fabric of our moral lives and to life forms on earth. The fact is that moral depravity and earthly depravity are positively correlated.

The signs of global resource scarcity, environmental imbalance, and rise in human misery point to specific choices which some human beings have been making with cold indifference to other better alternative choices which could have been made by them.  Their choices are ‘moral choices’.  Moral action and its opposite called negligence are the context of all human relations.

Both the Bible and the Holy Quran make the same argument by means of an allegorical story.[2] The first human beings were made guardians of a Garden; imagine that the Garden symbolizes the Earth.  A guardian is a moral overseer. Their prime directive from God was to do no harm and break no promises.  After committing harm and breaking a promise, the first human beings were condemned to physical, emotional, and spiritual degeneration in perpetuity. It is called: the fall from grace. That allegorical story implies the necessity of making moral choices so that we can have healthy social and environemental relations.

In law school, I studied the law of Torts. I studied a branch of Tort called the Tort of Negligence.[3] The central proposition in the law of negligence is simple. It is that ‘every person has a duty of due care so as not to harm another’. When one breaches his or her duty of due care to other persons and harms them, they are defined by law as having been negligent.  They are defined as having breached ‘the social contract.’[4]

Before we act, we should always consider what behavior is the best behavior so that we reduce the chance we will do harm to another including all other animals. Undeniably, the law of Negligence is a moral principle. The law of Negligence is a civil law implicit in all criminal laws; it is a fundamental principle in all human groups. The fact that human groups exist at all makes moral principles self-evident.

When a person is presented with more than one choice of action in a circumstance, the question is: which option is the best choice out of several alternatives? There is always the best choice of action out of several options in every given circumstance.

Some scholars argue that human beings are fundamentally selfish.[5] But the best choice cannot simply be that choice which optimizes what is good or pleasurable for the person making the choice. That would be an act of irrational selfishness.[6] For what is good for one person or even several persons or even a whole nation may be disastrous for billions of other persons in the short and long run.

Evidence exist to support that claim. Look at the last several thousand years of what I call the ‘Empire Game’. The Empire Game has been and is now an unmitigated disaster for all humanity. The Empire Game has even assumed the title of ‘World History’ implying that all other facets of human history are less important than it.

But there is also what are called in law ‘acts of omission’. Sometimes, under some circumstances, even making no choice can be an act of negligence which causes harm to another. Therefore, the argument that ‘some choices are amoral’ meaning morally neutral is a false premise because individuals and groups always make choices they define as good or pleasurable for themselves. And those choices even if it is a choice not to choose any course of action always cause effects. Therefore, there is no such thing as an ‘amoral’ choice because all choices and even decisions not to choose have unintended consequences on other people and the earth.[7]

For that reason, the issue of moral power and its effect on human and other environmental relations is the central problem facing us today. It is a central problem facing descendants of slaves. If that problem is not solved quickly, there will be no hope for mass survival during this age of global dysfunction.[8]

The political, corporate, and religious power elite casts a very long shadow over billions of people on this earth of ours. At the end of the day, their shadows convert to social and spiritual privation for all those living in their shadow. In a sense their shadow blocks rational sunlight from reaching into the lives of many people. It makes us less able to live moral lives because it stresses us to be less cooperative and more irrational and conflictual in relation to our neighbors and earth.

For subordinate people, everywhere, the life of the power elite is the antithesis of the life lived by those in their shadow. The elite, whether they be political, religious, or business elites, live a life of wealth and intellectual supremacy at the biological, economic and social expense of all people subordinate to them.

What can we do? Can we hypothetically get a grasp of the gravity of our social and economic problems? Let’s imagine some possibilities and follow them through to a conclusion. Let’s do a thought experiment.

Hypothetically speaking, if every descendant of slaves who is incarcerated in State, Federal, County, and City jails were released tomorrow; and

Hypothetically speaking, if every descendant of slaves who is released vowed to never commit another crime; and,

Hypothetically speaking, if no crimes were committed by descendants of slaves released from prison thereafter; and,

Hypothetically speaking, if all other descendants of slaves vowed that they would never break the law; and,

Hypothetically speaking, if all descendants of slaves in fact did not commit felonies ever again in the United States, then what would happen?

First, there would be an extra million and a half descendants of slaves living mainly in cities but also in small towns throughout the United States.

One million and a half more descendants of slaves would immediately add about 2% to the African American unemployment rate which already stands at about 16% or twice that of White unemployment.  That would make the unemployment rate for African Americans about 18%.   What can we compare an 18% unemployment rate to?  For that, we turn to the 20th century.

During the height of the 20th century’s great depression, the percentage of unemployed Americans was 25%. Thus, if there were a 2% rise in unemployment, descendants of slaves would experience an economic depression equivalent to the great depression wherever they lived in the United States in 2017.

Secondly, if no crimes were committed by descendants of slaves, the criminal justice system would collapse unless it seized upon another ethnic group to criminalize. Let’s assume the criminal justice system did not seize upon another ethnic victim. What would happen?

An unintended consequence of mass lawful behavior would be a second wave of unemployment adding to the 2% rise in black unemployment; but this time among whites. The ripple effect would expand far and wide into the economy. Share value in private for profit prisons stock would literally become worthless. Billions of dollars would be lost over night making wealthy white investors poor.

What would happen is that the “1,719 state prisons, 102 federal prisons, 942 juvenile correctional facilities, 3,283 local jails, and 79 Indian Country jails as well as in military prisons, immigration detention facilities, civil commitment centers, and prisons in the U.S. territories” would get significant Federal, State, County, and city budget cuts. That would include cutbacks in criminal courts with district attorneys, public defenders, police officers, and private criminal lawyers becoming unemployed along with everyone who works in the criminal justice system from administrators, correctional officers, to janitors. It would affect over 500, 000 individual employees and their families. In dollar terms, let’s say a cutback of about $85 billion dollars nationwide.  State, Federal governments would lose money because they would no longer have a justification for increased taxation of citizens to support the criminal justice system. Look at the graph below to get a bird’s eye view of the magnitude of economic dependence governments and corporations have on crime and the incarceration of descendants of slaves.

What would all those descendants of slaves choose to do under such circumstances? The economic characteristics of the United States are changing so fast that even the most educated Americans are continually having to retool their skills to keep up with technological change. How can under-educated ex-felon descendants of slaves be expected to do so?

Robots at the “Hannover Messe” trade fair in Hanover, Germany, April 2014[9].

The fact is that there would be no jobs for most of them aside from agricultural employment. The reasons that they would have nothing to do center around 1) their general lack of education. Here are the facts: “About 41% of inmates in the Nation’s State and Federal prisons and local jails in 1997 and 31% of probationers had not completed high school or its equivalent. In comparison, 18% of the general population age 18 or older had not finished the 12th grade.”[10] The educational characteristics of incarcerated descendants of slaves change at a glacial pace. The same educational characteristics hold true in 2017.

A second reason is that negative stigmata would be attached to them for having been incarcerated and simply for being ‘black’ in this white supremacist society.

Descendants of slaves have never been able to even minimally compete with the dominate white culture on any level. Some say ‘well what about sports’? I say to them that ‘No descendent of slaves owns a professional sport team in any league or sport.’ That holds true generally in the entertainment industry as well. Some others will argue, ‘well we can restart Black Wall Street such as the one which existed in Tulsa, Oklahoma in the 1920s.’ I say, “one cannot step twice into the same river.” Times, circumstances, and especially sentiments among Descendants of Slaves completely rule out that possibility. Some others will say: we can join a church or Masjid or Temple. I say that none of those American religious institutions will bite the hand which feeds them. They have become instruments of the banking system debt slavery and therefore of Wall Street.

Furthermore, that kind of change is not likely now because of ethnic integration and the rapidity of technological changes taking place. Add to that the increasing dysfunctional social life of most descendants of slaves particularly those million and a half individuals in our thought experiment now out of prisons and jails.  It leads to one conclusion. The only rational choice, the best choice, for descendants of slaves would be the choice to exercise moral power. Simply obey all laws.

Out of that kind of deliberation society is made possible. There is initially an imbalance in favor of instinct. But over time conscious rationality more or less increases.

Donald Trump Wears A Hard Hat: Get Ready to Move…Again, by Dr. Steven Nur Ahmed

A report by Reuters on December 19, 2016, written by M.B. Bell and Joshua Schneyer, identified thousands of areas across the United States where lead poisoning is worse than it is in Flint, Michigan: “A Reuter examination of lead testing results across the country found almost 3000 areas with poisoning rates far higher than in the tainted Michigan City.” Reuters stopped their count at 3000. There are thousands more.

For over 100 years, scientists and scholars have known of the deleterious effects of lead poisoning on the human body particularly the brain in young and old persons. But we will not rehash the scientific findings of the specific effects of lead poisoning in this article. Nor shall we examine the criminal proceedings now in process against those responsible for the lead poisoning disaster in Flint, Michigan. Those subjects are not the main point I want to make here because there is another crisis looming on the horizon and it will be a collateral effect of lead testing results across the nation.

A demographic crisis is forming. It will displace millions of Descendants of Slaves out of inner cities across the United States. The crisis will put gentrification into hyper-drive and there will be no stopping it from happening because there are no credible reasons to make the argument that it would not be legal nor is there a persuasive moral argument that it should not happen.

Bell and Schneyer identified Flint, Michigan; we can add to that Detroit; Chicago, Illinois. They also identified the city of Baltimore, Maryland; Missouri;  Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Cleveland, Ohio; Philadelphia and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; South Bend, Indiana. But there are thousands more cities across the nation wherein children and adults suffer brain damage due to lead poisoning.

Let me put it another way, it will be the great migration in reverse. But this time with no hope of a higher quality of life in an industrial urban setting with plenty of blue collar and domestic jobs.[1] What is going to happen may or may not be more pressing because of Donald Trump’s election to be our 45th President of the United States.

It is not a Republican nor Democratic nor Libertarian scheme, for the political bosses are but emissaries; rather, it is a corporate scheme to turn leaded inner city infrastructures into healthy and vibrant life centers with plush recreational parks for the power elite.

Donald Trump will become the President of the United States on January 20, 2017. He is uniquely qualified to carry the corporate ball down field and to make their plan a reality because his expertise is in the field of building construction and eminent domain. When they see an opening in the line, corporate America crashes everything and moves the ball through it.They will be awarded billions of tax payer dollars by getting government contracts. They will for the most part be white owned companies.

That begs the question: what will be the rational used to trigger the crisis? My answer is that it will be based upon ‘condemnation policy’ for public health and safety purposes. It will be legal. Lead infested infrastructures are a cause for public health and safety action by local, state, and federal governments. The U.S. Constitution gives governments the legal authority to have such policy.

The Fifth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution provides for the legal acquisition of private property under what is called ‘eminent domain’. Therein it states: “…nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.”

What that means is that governments have a legal duty. Governments must provide due process of law to the property owner. Governments must serve a legal or natural person who owns the property a notice of the date and place a court proceeding is to take place. They must cite the law upon which such a notice is based. Governments must make it clear that their aim is to take away the property of the holder of title. Governments must provide for such a private owner a day in court to argue why the government has no legal or rational basis to take their property.

Secondly, if a government takes a private property then it must pay the owner fair market value for that property. Then and only then can a government legally take private property for public use or purposes.

Supreme Court decisions have expanded the limits of governments’ right to seize private property from owners. Those decisions are of vital importance to us because they will enable us to see the corporate strategy or play book for taking lead infested environments and booting out descendants of slaves.

The problem that Descendants of Slaves have in relation to eminent domain is more complex now than ever before. Keep this in mind, most Descendants of Slaves who live within inner cities where lead is a public health and safety issue…do not own the property wherein they live. That means that: 1. No notice will be given to them of court proceedings to take property; they will usually get 30 to 60 days to move, and 2. though the owners will get fair market value compensation from government, the fact is that most Descendants of Slaves will get no compensation whatsoever. With little or no money and priced out of high rent neighborhoods, most Descendants of Slaves will have nowhere to go.[2] New Supreme Court decisions now make all of this not just possible but highly likely.

In Kelo v. City of New London,[3] 545 U.S. 469 (2005), the Supreme Court of the United States held that  the use of eminent domain to transfer land from one private owner to another private owner to further economic development is constitutional: “In a 5–4 decision, the Court held that the general benefits a community enjoyed from economic growth qualified private redevelopment plans as a permissible “public use” under the Takings Clause of the Fifth Amendment.” That decision made ‘public use takings’ synonymous with ‘public purpose’. The court privatized the 5th amendment takings clause.  If a company can prove that it plans the broad and vague phrase ‘public purpose’ to a court, then it can legally take private property and remarket it for profit.

The test employed under Kelo v. City of New London is a simple one: “…if an economic project creates new jobs, increases taxes and other revenues, and revitalizes a depressed (even if not blighted) urban area, it qualifies as a public use.” Justice Stevens wrote in that decision: “the Court long ago rejected any literal requirement that condemned property be put into use for the general public”[4] The foundation has been laid. Cities across the nation will take advantage of this diction to attract a wealthier population while pushing out poor whites and descendants of slaves.

There will be many other collateral effects. Some will be beneficial. For example, there will be a steep decline in black on black homicide and violent crime. There will be a steep decline in the number of Descendants of Slaves incarcerated. There will be a steep decline in the number children who are exposed to lead and other heavy metal toxins. Just to name a few.

Some of the harmful collateral effects will be increased poverty among descendants of slaves; few jobs which provide a livable wage; greater spatial difficulty accessing vocational and college institutions; the end of national grass root social justice organizations which depend upon a concentrated population of Descendants of Slaves for support; social alienation among poor and wealthy Descendants of Slaves; drug abuse will increase; fertility rates will decrease even lower than now; the marriage rate will continue to decline and will become the lowest in the nation; the traditional ‘black church’ will wither away.

The black church will be replaced by ecumenical churches which abandon Descendants of Slaves primarily because they are generally poor. Instead they will reach out to non-descendants of slaves as the religious priests struggle to keep their revenue streams fluid; and lastly, there will be an increase in more psychopathic individuals making claims to you on social media that you should give them your money.[5]

The fabric and texture of the lives of Descendants of Slaves in America is about to undergo such a radical change that many will suffer what the sociologist Emile Durkheim described as ‘anomie’. Consequently, suicide rates among Descendants of Slaves will rise significantly over the next 10 years.

Adding to the overall post-modern disenfranchisement of Descendants of Slaves is new technology. New technologies such as Nano technology, Bio- technology, Robotic technology or artificial intelligence, and an increasing demand for brain driven workers has made most Descendants of Slaves literally obsolete.

Great play writers know that there are only three ideal types in drama. One is comedy. One is tragedy. And one is a combination of both called…tragicomedy. Descendants of Slaves have no doubt played all three of these types for three centuries and continue to do so.

But all plays must inevitably come to an end. So, now, the curtain draws slowly on this one, too. I know you want to hear something good, something positive for the new year. You want to see fireworks; sparklers and such. But I’m not going to lie to you. I don’t want your money because I know what true wealth is; and I don’t need you to be up in my face crowd pleasing me.  So, I don’t need to sugar coat what I say to you.  It will be an unhappy new year for Descendants of Slaves.

WILL MILLENNIALS LOSE NATIONAL SOVEREIGNTY? by Dr. Steven Nur Ahmed

Millenials 2

There is both a national and international plan underfoot. It is being carried out by the power elite. Their goal is to take away judicial jurisdiction out of the hands of the millennial generation as well as all future generations of U.S. citizens. The power elite are carrying out their plan in order to preserve wealth and power on a transnational level in their hands and the hands of their descendants.

Their immediate purpose is to subordinate Federal and State judicial jurisdiction defined by the United States Constitution under Article 3 as well as the 10th amendment.   That would put our highest courts under a new special global corporate legal jurisdiction called the ‘Investors State Dispute Settlements Court’. The consequence is that corporations through the court would then be enabled to sue nations for their projected corporate losses of ‘expected future monetary profits’.

That new legal system called the ‘Investors State Dispute Settlement’ court is designed to dominate both Federal and State courts in matters relating to foreign corporate interests in the United States and throughout the pacific rim. That system would make U.S. citizens pay billions of dollars in fines if they pass laws to protect U.S. interests which conflict with and interfere with foreign corporate profits.

The plan is called the Trans Pacific Partnership Agreement. If it is signed into law by the next President of the United States, it will signal the first step to an end of United States Sovereign power and the beginning of direct multinational corporate control over the U.S. military, forever.

It is an agreement made by the 1% to 10% of power elites defined by Forbes 400 Magazine in 2015, the 40 pacific rim nation prospective signatories, multinational corporations, Wall Street, the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, and International Bank of Settlements. They all want the aggreement to be signed by President Barak Obama. He wants to sign it, too. He works for them.

Those parties and institutions want our Congress and the President to make the TPP agreement binding with no sunset clause in it. They want that because such a law will take away not only judicial jurisdiction over companies and nations doing business in the the United States but also to take away their right to bear arms which the power elite perceive to be a great threat to their growing power in the United States.

They want to limit legal jurisdiction of Federal and State courts, and they want total control over the U.S. military and the industries which support it.  In short, they want absolute power because the national political winds are no longer blowing in their favor. They can feel it pressing against their faces.

They see before their eyes a political turn that is occurring and have marked it as a hinge period in U.S. political history. A period which has the potential to irreversibly change the course of world history against their interests.

They know that there will be no going back to the days when they could work in the shadows. They know that they must act now and they plan to do so under a Presidency of either Obama, Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump. For they see demographic, economic, and state and federal voting patterns are now threatening their power.

Millennials pass Baby Boomers

The Millennials are making their political and economic frustrations and anger known to the world. The millennials are defined as those born between 1981 to those reaching the age of 18 years of age in 2016. In 2015, the millennial generation population is over 70 million; it has surpassed the baby boom population which numbered over 60 million persons born between 1945 and 1964.[1] Their postmodern political preferences are now being felt. Old political boundaries mean nothing to them; justice, the environment, and their future means everything to them.

During the recent democratic party nomination process, the effect of postmodern millennial culture was a political quake. More than 80% of all votes for democratic party socialist Bernie Sanders were cast by millennials. It was a clear statement of their collective sentiment for social change. For them, the prospect of Hillary Clinton becoming president of the United States is cause for them to have high anxiety and for good reasons.

Hillary Clinton is unalterably tied to and personally loyal to Wall Street financial interests. Millennials know that her husband Bill Clinton signed into law the repeal of the Glass-Steagall act of 1933 which set in motion the economic collapse of 2008. They know Bill Clinton signed into law the welfare reformation act. They know that Bill Clinton signed into law N.A.F.T.A. All at the behest of Wall Street and corporate interests. They know it has cost them uncounted thousands of jobs. They know that it was Bill and Hillary Clinton who signed into law outrageous prison sentences for petty non-violent drug offenders.  They know that Hillary Clinton is duplicitous by design.

Millennials know that the Clinton Foundation has clear international conflicts of interests ranging from deals with shady individuals, foreign corporations to nation states such as Saudi Arabia. All of that underscores to millennials that there will be no respite from their lives of debt. Even now, 31% of all Federal assets are student loans over 1.2 trillion dollars.[2] The Federal Government has become dependent on students remaining in financial debt for student loans for life.

Fasces

Millennials know that they are being slowly enclosed within the walls of a new kind of color blind global slave plantation. A plantation system which approximates the Roman Empire more than any other since ancient Rome. They know what that means for them. The ‘Fasces’ will be carried by a new global legal system with a mercenary global military to back it up. Millennials know that if they do not act now they will not have the freedom to act in the near future.

Millions of millennials are and will continue to be under employed at low paying jobs in the service sector economy and forced to live at home with their parents well into their 30s with no change in sight. They have therefore beaten a new path.

Millennials have sought an anti-neo-liberal and Republican path because they have no confidence in the political status quo. That has led the power elite to political panic and mayhem on the streets of America. For the first time in over 100 years we are seeing a democratic nominee, Hillary Clinton, supported by both a fractured and corrupt democratic party combined with corrupt republicans. Republicans who have abandoned the GOP because a national revolt by disenfranchised grass root ‘white’ Americans have gutted the Republican Party.

New political sentiments driven by a new born national conscience are threatening to redistribute the wealth of the power elite and restructure its armed guard…the sheriffs’ and police departments. Thus, the TPP is an instrument for the elite to maintain their wealth and power.

The TPP has an ultimate aim. Their aim is to take away Federal and State judicial jurisdiction over corporations in the TPP from all future generations of the U.S regardless of race and gender. They aim to do that because they know that if they don’t take away Federal and State judicial jurisdition over the TPP then any law passed in their favor under either Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump will be repealed after one or the other leaves office. They know they have lost control over the two party system; thus they will be less able to manipulate nominees to power. The power elite know that a whole new political order is on the horizon. They are running frenzied at the mere thought of it.

Non white outnumber whites

The power elite face yet another problem looming on the horizon. It was reported by the Pew Research Center in June of 2016 that: “The bureau’s (Census Bureau) estimates for July 1, 2015, released today, say that just over half – 50.2% – of U.S. babies younger than 1-year-old were racial or ethnic minorities. In sheer numbers, there were 1,995,102 minority babies compared with 1,982,936 non-Hispanic white infants, according to the census estimates.”[3] Assuming conditions remain more or less the same, a higher birth rate of racial minority infants will continue resulting in a majority non-white U.S. population.

The days when the fallacious racial strategy of ‘appeal to the silent majority’ to garner votes are over. So now the power elite have a big problem because most of the wealth in the United States and the world is concentrated in the hands of a small group of about 10% of the white population. They can no longer rely on old majority numbers.

So what of the United State military? What role will it play? There has already been a corporate coup d’etat of the U.S. military. For example, it was reported by ‘Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics’ in Washington D.C. and ‘the Brave New Foundation’ that “…70% of retired three and four star generals took jobs with defense contractors or consultants.”[4]

That fact demonstrates that the U.S. military has been for over 100 years infiltrated by Wall Street and corporate money. Money and the manufacturers of war materials actually control the military just as police and sheriffs’ departments across the nation control city politicians when it is in their interests to do so.

The cooptation of the United States military by TPP courts will give TPP the global muscle to enforce its corporate legal jurisdiction as the military has done for domestic corporations since its inception.[5]

Finally, for the power elite, U.S. citizens must be disarmed. If Hillary Clinton is elected she will appoint a Supreme Court Justice or justices who will swing court voting in that direction. It will give the court a majority vote in some obscure case which makes its way up the court system. The Second Amendment will be so watered down that over time only shot guns will be lawful in one’s home.

The de facto repeal of the second amendment to the United States Constitution is viewed by the power elite as necessary. They see it as necessary because the power elite fear an armed citizenry and know it cannot be subordinated to tyranny whether that tyranny is foreign or domestic. If and when the above plans come to fruition it will be the end of the United States of America as a sovereign nation.

The Millennials and every generation which follows after them will lose their constitutional power to reverse decisions made by the Investors State Dispute Settlement (ISDS) court if they are not proactive in changing the political status quo.

THOU SHALT NOT WAGE A RELIGIOUS CRUSADE IN THE NAME OF THE U.S. CONSTITUTION, by Dr. Steven Nur Ahmed

Crusade 1

Millions of right wing religious and secular conservatives in the Republican party are increasing their push to repress Islam and Muslims in the United States. Those same people and the media which propagandize their views are also voices for war against Islam and therefore against all Muslims in the world. Except for the exercise of their own right to freedom of speech, Donald Trump’s (and Republicans like him) proposed State and Federal policies for Muslims are unconstitutional because they would restrict Muslim speech and are thus tyrannical by definition.

Those same people and media intentionally ignore those parts of the first amendment which do not serve their immediate political agenda but nevertheless run parallel to the right to free speech.

Muslims may practice their religious beliefs in the United States because “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;”. Here, the preposition ‘respecting’ means that no ‘religious beliefs’ in the United States can be legally recognized as a natural nor legal person under the law. A religious belief is not constitutionally required to be incorporated under States’ corporate laws and thus need not be a ‘legal person’. The term ‘establishment’ means simply ‘articulable beliefs’ even in the absence of any concrete infrastructure.

For example, a specific set of religious beliefs cannot be sued in civil court. Nor can a warrant be issued under the fourth amendment to arrest a ‘religious belief’ to appear in a criminal court because all religious beliefs operate outside the jurisdiction of both civil and criminal law. That is what it means to have ‘religious freedom’ in the United States. Therefore, Islamic beliefs held by persons in the United States cannot be criminalized nor can ‘Islamic beliefs’ be named as a tortfeasor in a civil complaint.

Islam as a set of beliefs cannot be legally prohibited from being believed by people and Islamic beliefs cannot be prohibited from being practiced in the United States and its protectorates. That is so because only ‘natural persons’ who commit an act which violates a State or Federal statute, or crime against humanity can be arrested and denied freedom under either State or Federal criminal law.

Crusade 2

No ‘natural person’ who commits a crime in the name of a particular religion can be charged in the name of his or her religion; only a person or group of persons can be charged with violation of a clearly defined criminal statute. Further, beliefs cannot be criminally charged because neither state nor federal law can ‘recognize’ the ‘beliefs’ of a religion.

Islamic faith is not a natural or legal person. Therefore, only an individual or corporation that commits a criminal act can be held responsible even though he or she or it may claim to be Islamic. For Islamic religious beliefs cannot ‘act’ to commit crimes. Nor can Islamic religious beliefs form an ‘intent’ to commit a criminal act. Both common law and statutory law clearly state that only natural persons and legal persons can form an intent and commit an act that violates a State or Federal criminal statute.

Therefore, it would be unconstitutional for any state or for the federal government to indict a natural person as being identical to a ‘religious belief’ or to indict a religious belief as being identical to a ‘natural or legal person’.  Such a distinction between a person’s actions and his or her ‘religious beliefs’ is a manifestation of the legal superiority of the first amendment precept of separation of church and state. A man or woman cannot be detained nor killed for his or her religious beliefs.

Neither would it be constitutional under the first amendment for the federal government to wage war against Islam anywhere for crimes committed by an individual or group of individuals even though those people may claim to be adherents to Islamic beliefs. For to wage war against Islam everywhere would be to wage war not against natural persons but against ‘Islamic religious beliefs’ and the idea which gives rise to those beliefs and therefore it would be war against all Muslims in the United States, too.

WE ARE LIVING IN A DARK AGE, by Dr. Steven Nur Ahmed

death-in-the-hood

Most people in the United States are taught to associate the Dark Ages with a period in European history between the 5th and 15th centuries after the fall of the Roman Empire.  Discussions about the ‘Dark Ages’ usually turn on the social and economic relation between peasants and landlords, various warlords, the Catholic Church, as well as people’s overall quality of life. People then were dirt poor, they were generally unhealthy, and they lived short lives averaging about 23 years of age.

Discussion of the general characteristics of the Dark Ages is usually avoided in K- through 12 public schools in the United States and it is glossed over as simply being the consequence of the fall of the Roman Empire as though the Romans were enlightened peoples.

Also ignored is the idea that a ‘Dark Age’ is not necessarily a social condition frozen in the past nor should it be singularly identified by a number of dead European cultures.

But on a higher plane, the Dark Ages were not only  an exterior set of material conditions blocking human intellectual and material development but rather the Dark Ages was also a culture reflective of an interior absence of conscientiousness in each person who lived in it.

In order to avoid confusion, let me define two concepts for you. First, the word conscience means an inner feeling or voice viewed as acting as a guide to the rightness or wrongness of one’s behavior and the capacity in a person to empathize with other peoples’ feelings and conditions.  Secondly, a ‘Dark Age’ means a high point in cultural dysfunction which is not limited to the past nor measured by a societies technological development.

A dark age is a majority human population at any particular moment in human history which is characterized by extreme scientific ignorance, vulgarity, frivolity, lack of hygiene, cruelty such as torture, endless economically motivated warfare, human economic exploitation, religious superstition, and an absence of popular conscientious sentiment.

My question is whether or not those characteristics fit the United States and global nations today? My answer is that those definitions do describe today’s societies. Except for a very small minority of people, we are right now living in a historical moment of high social dysfunction all over the world.

But I should clarify what I don’t mean by ‘a very small minority’. What I do not mean by ‘a very small minority are formally educated people such as scientists, technicians, and oligarchs.

Scientific knowledge and mechanical skills as well as having had a liberal arts education is not necessarily indicative of conscientiousness. In fact, it may be indicative of the exact opposite.  We know that as evidenced by the corruption in both our state and federal judicial systems.

Conscientious self-questioning is not practiced outside the narrow circle of self-interests by the majority of the educated classes. And the problem only gets worse among the less educated and poor in society because they are usually imitative of upper class mores.

We know that because a majority of lower class citizens in the United States support crimes against humanity now being perpetrated in the world.  Those same people are also silent on the moral issues surrounding commercial degradation of the global environment. For example, recently it was uncovered that the Governor of Michigan approved for use contaminated water for citizens in Flint Michigan. Flint Michigan is a city with a 56% black population. Thousands of people are now suffering the adverse side effects of lead poisoning and will continue to suffer through the duration of their lives.

The fact that it was done knowingly and with reckless disregard for human life is evidence of a contradiction between what politicians say when they take an oath of office and what they do to innocent people who stand in the way of their own interests when they are in positions of power. Another example is Rob Emmanuel the mayor of Chicago Illinois. That mayor attempted to suppress evidence of a cold blooded killing of a black youth in Chicago. Then, another case emerged in which the district attorney withheld evidence in the case of another black man who was killed by police for no cause. Rob Emmanuel suppressed that information as well. But for having been caught, Rob Emmanuel would care less about those two unjustified police killings.

But how does the lack of moral conscience show itself in the scientific community? There are 5.8 million scientists in the world. Of that total number, there are 2.5 million scientists who are U.S. citizens and that number does not include the millions of technical support professionals who work with them on projects.

The majority of those scientists and technicians are employed by commercial institutions which contract with governments to make technologies designed to inflict death on whole populations of human beings as well as to degrade the natural environment. Most of those very same scientists make no conscientious objection to the uses of their technological innovations by the companies and governments they are employed by. They simply work for money and scientific prestige. Why are they so indifferent?

One reason for their lack of conscientiousness is their adherence to atheism. Atheism literally means ‘against God’ or anti-God and the counter belief that life is inherently meaningless. For example, in the United States, 93% of all top scientists who belong to the ‘National Academy of Sciences’ are self-proclaimed atheists.[1]

This is one reason which explains why they suffer no moral dilemma about making weapons of mass destruction and the use of those weapons on both human populations and the natural environment. I think of all the napalm bombs which were dropped upon the people and jungles in Vietnam and of cluster bombs being used to kill civilians in Yemen by Saudi Arabia today. The scientists who invented those weapons never protest against the use of those weapons.

The vast majority of people are not knowledgeable of the mechanical or electronic nature of the technology they use on a daily basis. For instance, the fact that cell phones emit dangerous radiation is unknown by the average person. The average person could not explain how an internal combustion engine works to generate energy even though the vast majority of them have been living in societies where cars have been driven for over one hundred years.

The truth is that there is no reason to accept a claim that every human being has reached a historically unparalleled rise in consciousness let alone conscientiousness. Not even a significant percentage of human beings have reached higher conscientiousness. Otherwise the average person would be intelligent enough to comprehend how they are politically manipulated and stop it and we would not be in the national and global predicament we are in now.

The truth is that most people still subscribe to old myths and stereotypes; they are the very same myths and stereotypes which guided beliefs and behaviors of people 5000 years ago. Most people are willing to act on those kinds of beliefs even if their actions result in crimes against humanity. For example, recently a Muslim women stood up at a Donald Trump presidential political rally wearing a T-Shirt which read: ‘Salaam, I come in peace’.  As she stood silently, the crowd nearly attacked her physically.  She was taken out of the arena by armed security guards. The crowd displayed subconscious mob reactions to negative stereotypes. Had they been triggered more by Donald Trump, they would have killed that woman. That is an example of what happens in a ‘Dark Age’.

Other examples are the many secular atrocities of the twentieth century. Those atrocities evidence the general lack of global conscientiousness within people everywhere and especially among scientists and the oligarchs or ruling elites in all nations. For example, over 250,000,000 (million) people died in secular wars waged during the 20th century.

Even now, in the twenty-first century, the United Nations stand by passively in the face of Zionist crimes against humanity ranging from the forced sterilization of Black Falasha Jews which has resulted in a 40% decrease in the Falasha fertility rate within the last 10 years. They stand by passively as African immigrants are forcibly put into concentration camps and they stand by while the military killing of thousands of civilians with reckless disregard in Palestine over the last 5 to 8 years continues.

The United Nations’ inactive enforcement of human rights furthers this dark age we live in. It either cannot act or refuses to act in Iraq, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, and Israel against the execution of thousands of civilian Sunni and Shi’a Muslims by Isis and governmental gangsters who are funded by Saudi Arabia, Israel, and the United States.

The United Nations stands by impotent in the face of global arms sells by western nations to reckless gangster governments; and it lacks a definitive policy for global environmental protection in the face of extreme climate change and increasing climate catastrophes.

In all cases cited above, large populations and their governments are complicit and are glaring examples of individuals and governments that lack conscientiousness. These examples, therefore, support my claim that the Dark Age never stopped. The dark age continues to exist and paradoxically the dark age we live in runs parallel to our highest human conscious aspirations.

Despite our highest human conscious aspirations, superstition has been dressed up and given the form of pseudo-science and modern political gibberish. But be not fooled because they are the same old superstitions of centuries past. And with those superstitions and stereotypes, the masses of people have adapted modern technology and science to their barbarism and atheism. These new modes of doing evil acts have been put to the service of a new generation of psychopaths and have made both religious and secular warfare more deadly and exploitative of human beings than ever before.

zombie-apocalypse

A pall hangs over the entire world. We are thus living in a dark age. A dark age as frightening as any other dark age that has existed in the past. Humanity is in tow by the presence of death.
