Welcome To EarthColoney.Net: Hood Rats, Part 2, by Dr. Steven Nur Ahmed

Rat Feed

Lakisha lives with her son on the same street and in the same apartment year after year. She watched her neighbors come and go. As a consequence she had not made many permanent friendships.  Nor had she significant associations beyond those of her immediate family members. What she had in common with her neighbors where the characteristics which define poor people.

Sometimes Lakisha would go out to a local night club. There she would mingle and dance with men most of whom she did not know personally. She longed for a meaningful relationship with a man but over the years she had come to believe that she would not have a man in her life in a family relationship.

She started to drink wine coolers and smoke marijuana at home; she would even drink and smoke in front of her son who was now three years old. She stayed up late at night watching television and could not sleep without it being on. And lately, she has been suffering from insomnia.

Her lack of sleep drove her to get help at a neighborhood medical clinic. Lakisha had signed up for and had been accepted on the Federal ‘Affordable Health Care Plan’ program. For that reason the physician agreed to see her and so took her insurance coverage.

The physician examined Lakisha. She diagnosed her as suffering from insomnia. As a treatment for her insomnia the doctor prescribed sleeping pills for Lakisha.

Lakisha purchased the sleeping pills and took them faithfully thinking that they would help her to sleep. But instead she became even more depressed and still could not sleep. With no one to talk to, Lakisha sought help from another source.

Another person in her neighborhood referred her to a local church. Lakisha had not done deep thought on the idea of God but in her own way she had always believed in the existence of God and so the idea was not foreign to her. So one Sunday she along with her son and went to a Sunday service.

It was a storefront church. It wasn’t a fancy church; actually, it was simply one big room. She sat down in the front row as the preacher began to speak.  The preacher had a deep voice and a band and small choir behind him. He could really do the hoop preaching she liked to hear. His preaching, along with the band and the choir made Lakisha feel good; it made her feel euphoric.

Lakisha felt in her heart that she had made a good decision. She felt that this was the place where she wanted to be, so when there was a call to the alter she joined the church and became its newest member. Everyone hugged her and smiled at her. That felt good to her. Lakisha didn’t feel alone anymore.

After returning home, people from the church called her on her phone. She felt good about that and in fact after a few weeks she did begin to sleep.

Lakisha had never studied Christianity because she did not grow up in association with a church or denomination. Her mother was not and is not religious. Neither had Lakisha ever studied black history. In fact, she had never thought about her ancestral roots in the United States. She did not know that most of the people brought over from what is called Africa had not been Christian.  She did not know that at least 30% of those Africans had been Muslim and the remaining 70% had practiced some indigenous religious forms of worship. But that all changed over time.

Over the course of decades and centuries, the memories that the slaves had of their homeland, languages, and old beliefs and practices from the first generation of slaves were forgotten by new generations of descendants of slaves. A spiritual vacuum came to exist among the slaves in a condition of abject dehumanization.

Like all human beings they searched for meaningful explanations for their lives within the context of slavery. According to W.E.B. Dubois, the slaves initially were denied exposure to Christianity. They used music and folklore leftover from their African roots to fill their spiritual void.  But eventually slave masters preached to them their dogma of Christianity.

Eventually, the slave master created the first slave hierarchy. That hierarchy would define statuses, roles, and power differences among the slaves leading up to the house Blacks who were chosen by the slave master to represent his commands to the slaves and their descendants in perpetuity. The preacher was one of the chosen ones. It was a version of the European feudal system dividing whole populations from top to bottom based upon class, and race caste.

The preacher was chosen to serve the master and the master’s descendants.  As time passed the class of preachers would become one of the intellectual branches of Black servants in a broad ranging propaganda media super-structure which would reach right down into individual homes in the Negro community. Religious ideology in the Black community and the church infrastructures were all created by the slave master and his descendants to propagandize white supremacy to the slaves and their descendants.

Some preachers were and are educated in White Christian seminaries or in ivey league colleges. A preacher might also simply claim a ‘calling’ to preach. But they each swear an oath called the ‘Nicene Creed’. The Nicene Creed was not taught by the founder of what is called Christianity. It was enacted by Constantine, Emperor of Rome, 273-337 A.D. Therefore, it is not an oath to God but rather to the Caesar of Rome or Powers of This World.

This is where you must pay attention.  I’m going to tell you what drives this whole Ponzi Scheme. The bait of course is that you will get something called an interest payment or get money back for letting a bank hold your money for you.

If some preachers felt that they were ’Called’ by God, they could simply file for and obtain non-profit corporate status under State Law and then get a 501(c)(4) tax exempt status with the Internal Revenue Service.

The tax exempt status was enacted by Congress under the Revenue Act of 1913.  That law was enacted to be an incentive to preachers and or religious organizations to hustle nickels and dimes from the poor and huddled masses for deposit in the banks. But there is more to the Revenue Act of 1913.

It was enacted in 1913, the same year that the 16th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution was enacted by Congress instituting the Internal Revenue Service; it was the same year,1913, that Congress enacted the Federal Reserve Bank. It was orchestrated by the same bankers and politicians who pushed through congress the Federal Reserve Act and the Internal Revenue Service Act.

If one reads the text of the Revenue Act there one will find no explanation giving the reason for the 501(c)(3)(4) tax exempt subsection. Thus, in order to understand why Congress legalized a tax exempt status for non-profit religious corporations we must follow the money trail.

Listen carefully, because if you are a student of black urban religious history then you will see clearly that this is the historical moment when the concentration of nickels and dimes in the black urban communities nationwide begin to increase and to simultaneously attract the low life prosperity preachers like Daddy Grace and Father Divine who we know today.

The historical pattern is self-evident; wealth attracts thieves. As wealth increases in a group or nation corruption increases. Black people were the poorest urban dwellers in the United States but they did have pennies, nickels and dimes which over time added up to huge sums when concentrated. That attracted the preachers.

The preachers figured out how to hustle you for themselves and the White banks under the Revenue Act and the freedom of religious practice clause of the first amendment to the U.S. Constitution. Do a time line and see for yourself. The preachers earn on commission.

The payoff system works in such a way that preachers are all paid either directly from a central church if they preach for a white Christian denomination which itself is based upon tithing or a preacher would pay himself from the tithes which he collects from a small independent church. What is absolutely necessary is that they continually sale the propaganda to individuals with promises of heaven or wealth.

The independent churches equal millions of members. Each member believes they are giving to God. The reality is that they are giving as a result of fear, anxiety associated with status competition (peer pressure), or in the heat of passion or emotionally.

Historically, tithing is the giving 10% of one’s farm produce and chattel to the priesthood. It is rooted in Jewish tradition in the Books of Malachi, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy.

Tithing is not a Divine law; but generations of people have been lead to believe that it is. It was a primitive form of taxation which allowed for the growth of a oligarchy in Jewish culture. The Christians adapted the practice of tithing, but the system which Lakisha participates in today was established by the Roman Emperor Constantine. It is the Roman system which is the driver of much of the wickedness and corruption within Black churches today.

Now, Lakisha is one of approximately 25 million members in Black Churches throughout the United States. Sitting in the church pews with her son, Lakisha took two of the one dollar bills she had gotten from her Aid to Families with Dependent Children out of her purse and put them into the tithing dish. What Lakisha believes is that she is giving to God according to what is required by God.

All together Blacks in the United States tithed approximately 17.3 billion dollars in 2009.

What Lakisha didn’t know is that she is ‘rendering unto Caesar what is Caesar’s.’  Lakisha doesn’t know that the money she and her fellow members give to the church will be taken to a White bank and deposited.  The preachers will not deposit church money into a bank owned by descendants of slaves. It is for that reason that descendants of slaves today are impoverished, unskilled workers, under educated, and incarcerated more than any other ethnic group in the United States.

If each of those church members deposited .05 cents per day thirty times per month or 30X.05=1.50 per day per month per person it would equal 37,500,000.00 per month each month of the year. Finally, 12 X 37,500,000.00 would equal $450,000,000.00 in a year. That would be enough money to educate and train every young descendant of slaves without any government support.

What Lakisha doesn’t know is that 90% of her church deposits along with 15 billion dollars in 2009 or 90% of the total deposits made by churches like her church were used by  banks to profit by selling high interests loans to corporations, small businesses, and buying shares on Wall Street. They do that legally under the Fractional Reserve deposit rule.

None of those corporations, small businesses, and investments will go to descendants of slaves. Each of them will invest in capital to increase their profits for their families. None of them will hire Black people in Lakisha’s neighborhood. So, Lakisha will not have employment opportunities as a collateral effect of all the money given to the banks by her church and others.

That is the service that the preachers knowingly or due to ignorance provide for their masters.  That is the service that they render unto Caesar. And to add insult to injury, when some of the churches grow old and the number of members dwindles to nothing the preachers will take second mortgages out on church property, take the cash, and then let the loan go into foreclosure. The bank which holds title to the property will then take the church property and sell it for a profit.

Lakisha doesn’t know any of this. She is simply feeling empty and in pain inside like so many millions of people like her on the American plantation.

In the end, he or she who takes the cheese is the hood rat. They escape unseen while their media paint stereotypical images of Lakisha as being trifling and lazy.

DRAPETOMANIA – A Negro Disease – By Wayne Johnson, Attorney – Political Economist

Drapetomania was a supposed mental illness described by Louisiana physician Samuel A. Cartwright in 1851 that caused black slaves to flee captivity.   He published a paper entitled, “Report On The Diseases and Physical Peculiarities Of The Negro race.”   According to Cartwright, “drapetomania is derived from draptise. A runaway slave is mania mad or crazy.   He opined that a nigger must be crazy to want to escape bondage from White people. Given the proper medical treatment he claimed that Blacks would not even want to or attempt escape even if they were given freedom.

DYSAETHESIA AETHIOPICA, OR HEBETUDE OF MIND AND OBTUSE SENSIBILITY OF BODY–A DISEASE PECULIAR TO NEGROES–CALLED BY OVERSEERS, ” RASCALITY.”

Dysaesthesia Aethiopica is a disease peculiar to Negroes, affecting both mind and body in a manner as well expressed by dysaesthesia, the name Dr. Cartwright gave it, as could be by a single term. There is both mind and sensibility, but both seem to be difficult to reach by impressions from without. There is a partial insensibility of the skin, and so great a hebetude of the intellectual faculties, as to be like a person half asleep, that is with difficulty aroused and kept awake.

Dr. Cartwright went on to write… “It is not my purpose to treat of the complaint as it prevails among free Negroes, nearly all of whom are more or less afflicted with it, that have not got some white person to direct and to take care of them.”
“From the careless movements of the individuals affected with the complaint, they are apt to do much mischief, which appears as if intentional, but is mostly owing to the stupidness of mind and insensibility of the nerves induced by the disease.

Thus, they break, waste and destroy everything they handle,–abuse horses and cattle,–tear, burn or rend their own clothing, and, paying no attention to the rights of property, steal others, to replace what they have destroyed. They wander about at night, and keep in a half nodding sleep during the day. They slight their work,–cut up corn, cane, cotton or tobacco when hoeing it, as if for pure mischief. They raise disturbances with their overseers and fellow-servants without cause or motive, and seem to be insensible to pain when subjected to punishment. The fact of the existence of such a complaint, making man like an automaton or senseless machine, having the above or similar symptoms, can be clearly established by the most direct and positive testimony. That it should have escaped the attention of the medical profession can only be accounted for because its attention has not been sufficiently directed to the maladies of the Negro race. Otherwise a complaint of so common an occurrence on badly-governed plantations, and so universal among free negroes, or those who are not governed at all,–a disease radicated in physical lesions and having its peculiar and well marked symptoms and its curative indications, would not have escaped the notice of the profession. The northern physicians and people have noticed the symptoms, but not the disease from which they spring. They ignorantly attribute the symptoms to the debasing influence of slavery on the mind without considering that those who have never been in slavery, or their fathers before them, are the most afflicted, and the latest from the slave-holding South the least. The disease is the natural offspring of negro liberty–the liberty to be idle, to wallow in filth, and to indulge in improper food and drinks.”

Apparently, you are a rascal if you do not wish to accept your ascribed role in the culture of the dominant people, given you could.

In other words, every mental state that would not allow Black people to simply accept subjugation is some form of disease.

When calling certain people “diseased”, the user attempts to deny them responsibility as moral agents, in order to better control them.   The same is true for labeling people. For example, if you define someone as controlling you do not have to evaluate your own behavior to determine if your behavior was inappropriate and you do not have to determine of whether any of the particular situations required someone to take control.

I was once involved with a woman whom would not allow me sufficient space, even to work. When she was finally ready to move on, she defined her actions as mental illness, and she found a host of other names for me as well. Those, similarly, were ways for her to refuse to evaluate her behavior and her name calling me or labeling me allowed her to dismiss me as a human being so that she did not have to deal with the causes of our woes or the ultimate consequences of her failure to treat either of us with dignity or respect in the end.
Those thinking like Dr. Cartwright have caused such a sickness in many people, not just White people.

We still have Black people today who believe that it is an illness to be Black. They still prefer “lighter skin” and so-called “good hair.”  Some believe that Black people are lazy and shiftless or lack a proper “work ethic.”  They attribute good work ethic to those they have been brainwashed into believing are better than they.   Those others possess characteristics of what they have been taught is a superior “race” or a group of people.

Some still fear living amongst only Black People or living independently or to be free from White people. I am not advocating separation, or separate and equal or unequal. However, I am advocating Black folks learn to stand up, stand alone, and support themselves before just deferring to White people or any other people.   In essence, we should learn something about accounting and investing, and do not just turn your books over to an accountant or an investor. Otherwise, you will not know if the accountant or investor is robbing you or is simply unknowledgeable.

Recently, I was at a function in Oakland, California supposedly honoring Security Ambassadors, those who help citizens with questions and who assist in cleaning the streets. Their basic tasks are to make white people feel safe when they conduct business in certain parts of the city.   No such ambassadors exist in the less affluent areas.

What surprised me was even in today’s world, all of the Security Ambassadors were Black or others of so-called minority races. Over 90 percent of the Board of the directors who sponsored the event were mostly White. Even more surprising where the “Token Negroes,” entrepreneurs they honored who where not Ambassadors and seeing the huge grins on their faces just for being honored by White folks.

Meanwhile, they paraded these Ambassadors across the stage, still in uniform, as though the job has special training or requirements.   The mostly white presenters described them as helpful, nice, courteous, and able to smile while working.   I apologize, but aren’t those not the characteristics of a good slave?   One guy they described as having such a great smile that one should consider himself blessed if he was lucky enough to catch a glimpse.

There was one who caught my attention. He happened to an Asian guy who was Ambassador of the year two years running. He was in college and about to complete his masters. This is what they all should be attempting.   It did send other subliminal messages about the Black people, those who may also be working on higher education.

It was one happy plantation. I am sure any one of those honorees that complained about racism on the job would be diagnosed with Drapetomania.

If you ever feel a sudden onset of Drapetomania, relax; pick up a tool that may allow you to free yourself.

Today, Science Claims Bee Venom Destroys Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) – By Wayne Johnson, Attorney At Law – Political Economist

These are the hard facts according to the Center for Disease Control (CDC):

More than 34 million people are living with HIV/AIDS worldwide, and over 3 million of them are under the age of 15. Everyday, thousands of people contract HIV around the world.

AIDS is not one disease, but instead an umbrella of diseases that destroy the human immune system. Consequently, many scientists around the globe disagree as to what AIDS is.

  • African Americans are the racial/ethnic group most affected by HIV.
  • The rate of new HIV infection in African Americans is 8 times that of whites based on population size.
  • Gay and bisexual men account for most new infections among African Americans; young gay and bisexual men aged 13 to 24 are the most affected of this group.

According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Blacks/African Americans have the most severe burden of HIV of all racial/ethnic groups in the United States. Compared with other races and ethnicities, African Americans account for a higher proportion of new HIV infections, those living with HIV, and those ever diagnosed with AIDS.

  • African Americans accounted for an estimated 44% of all new HIV infections among adults and adolescents (aged 13 years or older) in 2010, despite representing only 12% of the US population; considering the smaller size of the African American population in the United States, this represents a population rate that is 8 times that of whites overall.
  • In 2010, men accounted for 70% (14,700) of the estimated 20,900 new HIV infections among all adult and adolescent African Americans. The estimated rate of new HIV infections for African American men (103.6/100,000 population) was 7 times that of white men, twice that of Latino men, and nearly 3 times that of African American women.
  • In 2010, African American gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men**b represented an estimated 72% (10,600) of new infections among all African American men and 36% of an estimated 29,800 new HIV infections among all gay and bisexual men. More new HIV infections (4,800) occurred among young African American gay and bisexual men (aged 13-24) than any other subgroup of gay and bisexual men.
  • In 2010, African American women accounted for 6,100 (29%) of the estimated new HIV infections among all adult and adolescent African Americans. This number represents a decrease of 21% since 2008. Most new HIV infections among African American women (87%; 5,300) are attributed to heterosexual contact.c The estimated rate of new HIV infections for African American women (38.1/100,000 population) was 20 times that of white women and almost 5 times that of Hispanic/Latino women.

Estimates of New HIV Infections in the United States for the Most-Affected Subpopulations, 2010

risk_africanAmerican_factsheet_Graph_636x287
Source: CDC. Estimated HIV incidence among adults and adolescents in the United States, 2007–2010.  HIV Surveillance Supplemental Report 2012; Subpopulations representing 2% or less of the overall US epidemic are not reflected in this chart. Abbreviations: MSM, men who have sex with men; IDU, injection drug user

At some point in their lifetimes, an estimated 1 in 16 African American men and 1 in 32 African American women will be diagnosed with HIV infection.

  • In 2011, an estimated 15,958 African Americans were diagnosed with AIDS in the United States.
  • By the end of 2010, an estimated 260,821 African Americans ever diagnosed with AIDS had died in the United States.

African Americans face a number of challenges that contribute to the higher rates of HIV infection. The greater number of people living with HIV (prevalence) in African American communities and the fact that African Americans tend to have sex with partners of the same race/ethnicity means that they face a greater risk of HIV infection with each new sexual encounter.

Maybe they are advocating African Americans date outside their race as it is allegedly more likely that one or both of the sex partners is infected.

African American communities continue to experience higher rates of other sexually transmitted infections (STIs) compared with other racial/ethnic communities in the United States. Having an STI can significantly increase the chance of getting or transmitting HIV.

According to the CDC, Lack of awareness of HIV status can affect HIV rates in communities. Almost 85,000 HIV-infected people in the African American community in 2010 were unaware of their HIV status. Diagnosis late in the course of HIV infection is common, which results in missed opportunities to get early medical care and prevent transmission to others.

The poverty rate is higher among African Americans than other racial/ethnic groups. The socioeconomic issues associated with poverty—including limited access to high-quality health care, housing, and HIV prevention education—directly and indirectly increase the risk for HIV infection, and affect the health of people living with and at risk for HIV. These factors may explain why African Americans have worse outcomes on the HIV continuum of care, including lower rates of linkage to care, retention in care, being prescribed HIV treatment, and viral suppression. New data from 2010 indicate that 75% of HIV-infected African Americans aged 13 or older are linked to care, 48% are retained in care, 46% are prescribed antiretroviral therapy, and only 35% are virally suppressed.

Stigma, fear, discrimination, homophobia, and negative perceptions about HIV testing can also place too many African Americans at higher risk. Many at risk for HIV fear discrimination and rejection more than infection and may choose not to seek testing.

Years ago scientists claim a few individuals carry a mutation known as CCR5-D-32 in the CCR5 gene, protecting them against these strains of HIV.

Today, the claim is Nanoparticles carrying a toxin found in bee venom can destroy human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) while leaving the surrounding cells unharmed.

Basically, scientists from the Washington School of Medicine claim that the bee venum contains a potent toxin called melittin which penetrates and fuses with the HIV virus and destroys its protective envelope.   Normal human cells are allegedly too large to be effected by the melittin.

Most anti-HIV drugs inhibit the virus’s ability to replicate. This is an anti-replication strategy that does nothing to stop the infection, and many strains of the virus have found ways around these drugs and continue reproducing. Given this discovery, a new vaginal gel could possibly be used in places where HIV is prominent. It can be used as a preventative measure to stop the initial infection and prevent the spread of HIV.

The bee venom HIV study was published in the journal Antiviral Therapy.

Whether bee venom will eventually save the day, we should practice safe sex.

Welcome to EarthColony.Net: SETTING TRAPS FOR HOOD RATS, by Dr. Steven Nur Ahmed

Malcolm X Statue2

Lakisha lives in a major U.S. city.  She is a descendant of slaves though she does not think of herself as such. She was born into a single parent household. Her mother is on AFDC, W.I.C., and living in section 8 housing with Lakisha’s three sisters.

Lakisha never knew her father. Her mother was a teenager when she gave birth to Lakisha.  Consequently, Lakisha’s mother had to drop out of high school at the age of 15. Her mother never returned to school.

Over the course of the years, Lakisha’s mother had many male sexual partners. Because Lakisha was the oldest of her siblings she saw her mother’s partners come into her mother’s life and leave.

At the age of 16, Lakisha met a boy. They became sexually involved. Eventually Lakisha got pregnant. She went to school pregnant for a while and it was found out that she was pregnant by teachers and counselors.

There was an abortion clinic in the neighborhood. The clinic also had an office at Lakisha’s school. Some of the people there tried to persuade her to abort her fetus. But Lakisha said no to them because she wanted to keep her fetus and have her baby.

As she grew into her third trimester, her mother took her down to the various Federal, State, and County agencies so that she could apply for and receive AFDC, W.I.C., Food Stamps, and Section 8 housing.

The young boy had disappeared out of her life and so Lakisha was on her own and dependent upon government to support both her and her new child. For the first time in her life she felt alone.

Lakisha will never return to school. She moved into an apartment a few blocks from her mother’s apartment in the same complex of apartments set aside for Section 8 housing dependents.

In order to appreciate the scope of Lakisha’s plight one must multiply it millions of times. Only then are we likely to come face to face with a fundamental issue: Whether or not Lakisha is a hood rat?

There are 46,700,000 people living in the United States who are on Food Stamps. That equals 15% of the total U.S. population.  Of that number Lakisha is one of 17,940,000 descendants of slaves on Food Stamps.  Of all persons on Food Stamps, 40% are descendants of slaves though descendants of slaves constitute only 13% of the total U.S. population. They receive on average about $133.00 per month.

Lakisha is one out of 317 million people counted by the U.S. Census Department in the United States. Of that number, she is one out of 12,997,000 persons who are dependent on welfare payments. That translates into 4.1% of the U.S. population who are dependent on welfare to support them.

The percentage of descendants of slaves on welfare support is 39% of the total 12,997,000 people on welfare.  Lakisha is one out of 5,068,830 descendants of slaves who are on welfare on any given day. Therefore, 12% of all descendants of slaves in the United States are on welfare support.

The United States Government spends approximately 131.9 billion dollars per year for welfare support. The expenditure on descendants of slaves is 39% of that total or $51, 090,000,000.00 (billion) dollars to support descendants of slaves per year. The average check amount is about $10,000.00 per year or $844.74 per month.

Lakisha does the best that she can. She wears cheap clothes; she has a small vocabulary; she has rough manners honed by very aggressive interactions with others in her neighborhood.

She has no bank account and so in order to cash her check she goes to a Fast Check Cashing establishment within walking distance of her apartment.  They know her very well because she is there every month at the same time.

Lakisha has no car so she walks to the neighborhood stores to shop for food. The stores do not carry fresh vegetables and fruit so she buys canned or processed genetically modified foods like corn, sugar, milk, cheese, along with processed meats, and candy. Not only does Lakisha pay the retail price, she pays higher prices for her goods than she would pay outside of the hood; and along with that she pays a sales tax, too.

On the way home she stops at the local fast food outlet and buys some of their high salt and fat foods along with a sugary soda. She sits there with her baby to rest awhile before going home.

Her rent is paid in part by the government and she makes up the difference; she has never been late paying her rent to the landlord.

Two weeks go by and Lakisha is nearly broke; she waits anxiously for time to pass as she watches cable television shows throughout the day and night to pass time.

Meanwhile, the landlord, the check cashing establishment owner, the corner store owner, and the fast food outlet manager have taken their money to the bank.  None of them is a descendant of slaves. It is a daily, weekly, monthly ritual as they line up in the merchants line of the bank to make their deposits. Annually, they file their tax reports and pay whatever they owe to the Internal Revenue Service. They have all had a good year in the hood. They each count sizable profits servicing Lakisha and others like her.

The bank then has its opportunity. It takes the deposits from each of the merchants, but it then shaves off 90% of their deposits under the Fractional Reserve banking rule set by the Federal Government.  It is a rule which allows banks to keep on reserve at the bank 1 dollar out of every 10 put in deposit. So, 90% of the 51 billion dollars or 45 billion dollars banks can then use to give short and long term loans to corporations and use to invest on Wall Street and in other global markets. The banks are then able to multiply the 45 billion dollars by 2, 3, 4, or even 5 times the amount given to them for safe keeping. The small amount of interest which the depositors earn on their deposits is miniscule in comparison to the profits made by the banks on deposit money.

The bankers are very happy. They have successfully used tax dollars paid through welfare and food stamp recipients like Lakisha to enrich themselves. In fact everyone has done well, except Lakisha. The IRS, the banks, and the ghetto stores have each made more money than they have expended because of the interest and taxes earned at each stage of a transaction with people like Lakisha.  The cycle is complete at that moment.

So, who are the ghetto rats? Lakisha and those like her merely serve as pipe lines through which money flows from taxpayers to government, to welfare recipients, then to banks, corporations, and finally back to government. Those establishments don’t lose money they dominant, control, exploit, and profit off poor people. It is they who are the hood rats not Lakisha and those like her.

That is why “the poor will always be with you”; poverty is profitable. Ghetto predators feed on the poor as do vultures on carrion. It is yet another of the aspects of plantation life lived out by poor people in the United States and the world.
